So my ex and I haven’t spoken much in the past 3 or 4 days, mainly due to the fact I don’t want to project the image of a desperate person and show her that she can have her space. (We are on speaking terms). On Sweetest day, I got her a white rose and left it on her car at work. I didn’t leave any overtly romantic note with it or follow it up with a text stating my undying love, just a note that said “Happy Sweetest Day!”. Do you guys feel this was a good thing to do? And if not, why? Opinions appreciated.

Well I do not know how you guys broke up. On the one hand I can see how it is sweet but on the other (bigger) hand it is definitely a breach of space. Depending on if you were desperate anywhere in the relationship it may come across as a desperate move as well. Anyway, you can not change the past. So rather than thinking about if it was a good idea, you should think about what you should do next. Did she contact you after the rose?

Contact via text has been practically nonexistent after that day. She still comments on things of mine via FB, but right now we haven’t spoken for 4 days now.

Update: went to a Halloween party that she happened to be at (we share the same group of mutual friends) and nothing was said. She avoided the room I was in like the plague. Not holding out a whole lot of hope for someone who acts like that, honestly. Beginning to think I’m better off without her.🤷‍♂️
