Hello everyone, I wrote on these forums about 5 months ago but I can’t find my post so here I am.

TL;DR: My bf left me in May due to my depression/me being cold but during the 2 years we were together he didn’t know how to give me personal space to recover so it lead to a lot of fights.

Still wanted him back but all he wanted was to stay friends, tried to leave but he’d beg me crying not to go, stuck around until he got another girl in November. Still stuck around pretending she didn’t exist.

In February one of his friends started flirting with me and we hit it off, i was ready to move on but my ex didn’t like that and after a couple days of excuses as to why I shouldn’t date that guy he finally cracked and said he still loved me and wanted to make me happy. He left the girl he was with and is fully committed to me now.

We’ve been back together since March 3rd and things couldn’t be better. He’s learned a lot from the past and so did I, he’s very supportive and gives me space when i need it.

So guys, sometimes the solution is not to completely go no-contact on them but to “move on”, but you need to be fully committed to it, I didn’t plan to flirt with his friend just to get him back but the act of moving on for real made him realize what he was missing.

Good luck everyone, it’s very tough I know but I hope you guys can do it too! Also followed some LoA stuff which even if you don’t believe in, they truly helped with my general mood.

Just read this post after commenting on the old one. I’m so glad it worked out, I honestly didn’t think it would but tried to fight your corner anyway, good on you for proving me wrong!
