    Hi everyone,

I’ve written about my relationship and my break up in the reconciliation board, so if you could read my thread there before commenting here I would greatly appreciate it πŸ™‚

I decided to start no contact almost a week ago, but today my ex sent me multiple texts (just updates on his life and he asked how I’m doing). Like I mentioned in my previous posts, he’s a sweetheart and our relationship overall was super healthy. I see the value of no contact but I’m wondering in my situation if it’s best? And if it is, can I at least reply to his texts just letting him know that I’m taking time and space to accept the break up?

    Thank you in advance! πŸ™‚

If you want to move on then yes you should do no contact, unless you think you can still detach yourself from him while being friends, just send him a message telling him you are going to cut off all communication and then start no contact until you move on completely

    Hi Saadcrackz,

Thank you for reassuring me about no contact! I almost texted him back last night but I’m glad I waited to get someone else’s advice. I’ll send him that text and give an update πŸ™‚

So I texted him back saying I need space and time so I won’t be responding to his texts, and he said he understands but also said “I am here if you wanna chat.” I think my lack of contact is working but he’s expecting me to chase him. This is a good sign, right?
