Hi everyone, I’ve been doing great with NC. 15 days! I unfriended him on Facebook at the start of the 15 days and unfollowed him on Twitter. He continued to follow me. Then I just noticed today that he unfollowed me on Twitter, probably this morning (I would check to see if he is still following me on Twitter, still!). I know I should do nothing, and continue with NC, but I am panicking! I realize I need even MORE time with NC now. Tips for helping me get through this? I need moral support! Thank you!
Hi lilly, How long were you together and how old are you two? Why did you break up? Don’t read too much into social media stuff as it’s just a guessing game as to what things mean. Continue no contact for at least another 2 weeks and try to understand what went wrong and ways to correct any mistakes made on your part. You’re doing great so far! Try to divert your thoughts about him and keep busy and happy doing things you enjoy. Good luck..
Unfriending or unfollowing him during NC is kinda breaking the NC rules, I think because thats sort of a reaction and see he is checking on you on social media too. Anyways don’t panick you should just keep doing the NC, it’s very very hard but you should stop stalking on him.
It will be ok! Actually it will help your cause because it is one more thing for him to miss about you – to distance himself from whatever bad things he has in his mind about the relationship. The steps say that the less interaction you have, the more they miss you. So instead of looking at it as a loss, maybe look at it as an opportunity for him to clear his head?
