    Hi,

So my exboyfriend would like to talk to get closure. I’m not sure if that is such a good idea given the fact that I still have strong feelings for him and would like to get back together with him.
He broke up with me in November since then we haven’t been in touch. Although he reached out to me about 3 or 4 times aksing if we wanna talk etc.
Well, I wasn’t ready and honestly I don’t feel ready yet either.
But can you ever be completely ready to talk to your Ex?

Anyway the last couple weeks I was focusing on myself trying to make new friends and go out. But he is still on my mind every day. Even in my dreams he occurs a lot of times.

Would do you guys think? Is talking a good idea or would that mean that I give him the possibility to move on and that there won’t be a chance of getting back together? We could only communicate over phone since we live in different cities.

I think it has been enough time. You should talk to him. He deserves closure and so do you. And just because he may be working toward closing that chapter of his life…doesnt mean he wont start a new chapter with you in the future. You should be willing to find closure for the breakup as well.

If you meet with hom, you have an opportunity to make a positive impression. Just dont get emotional. Dont put any kind of pressure on him. Just be happy and confident.

mhh..maybe you’re right. What concerns me is that I’m still very emotional. Especially today is such a day where I’d like to hide in bed and cry all day long :-/
I’m afraid that I will cry or be mad at him on the phone or that I just can’t handle it afterwards that while he can move on I’m still griefing and trying to put my life back together.
Meeting with him in person won’t be an option for now unfortunately. I’d rather meet him in person though.

ALso honestly I’m not even sure what we should talk about…
the breakup doesn’t seem like a good topic to talk about.

If you are not ready, and from what you have said, you are not, then don’t talk to him. Do what’s right for you.

I honestly don’t think closure is important. I don’t think you can ever get the answers or understanding you want after a break up. I also think if someone breaks up with you, you don’t owe them anything, especially not closure.

Take some time to think on it and decide what you want and what feels right to you. Take care and good luck. 🙂

Thanks guys! He texted me again earlier regarding when we could talk.. I have a hard time to understand why it seems important to him to talk.
The worst case scenario would be that he already moved on to another girl and wants
to tell me that in person. But that would be kind of weird I guess.
