Thank you, Patricia. We’re New Yorkers, so we naturally curse a lot 😉

I’m going to wait, like you said. I’m actually not sure when they’ll be here … but I think it’ll be safe to wait a few days.

So I sent the letter yesterday, because it turns out his parents aren’t coming, they’re going to be going to Chicago with his brother who is starting school over there.

He didn’t respond. I was realistic, and didn’t expect the letter to totally change his mind over night. But, I still thought he’d respond. I’m extremely heartbroken, but I guess this is exactly what I needed to really start moving on.

How is it that you know so much about his parents plans? You just sent the letter yesterday so he’s probably taking time to think it over before responding. (it was a very long letter) Besides he might be very busy with other stuff too.
Don’t give up yet and stay positive, okay?

I have been obsessively going over our last conversations, and remember him saying his parents would be going with his brother to Chicago.

I’m really trying to be positive, however I don’t want to set myself up for more disappointment. I feel good though, because I can look back and say I did all I could, and didn’t just give up.

Hoping he comes around, but if not, I’ll have to be OK!

I know this is much delayed, but I wanted to ask what happened since I am currently in a similar situation.
