After 45 days of no contact, my ex doesn’t reply my text

My ex and I were in a long distance relationship for almost 2 years. Everything went well for the first year but as time went by we paid less effort in our relationship. I guess it was one of the reasons why he said he didn’t love me anymore when he came back to our city in June. And I know my insecurity also messed up our relationship.

He asked for a breakup in July, i.e. after he was back for a month. And then he left again. I only texted him twice during the first month of our breakup but I either received no response or a rather negative response. So I started my no contact.

After 45 days of no contact (and now he is back), I text him to say that he left something in my place but he does not reply my text.

What should be my next step?
