My ex-girlfriend and I were in a very serious relationship for about 4 years. We broke up 4 months ago. since, we’ve met every body whom we know, random people and even waitresses at random restaurants always said that we are a great couple. And, we both always felt like we were soul mates. But, when she asked for a commitment, i spoke to my parents who showed resistance, which took some time for me to get their blessings, as i wanted to make sure there is no drama after we get married, and everyone is happy. She was not working at the time and she was not sure what she wanted with her career, so she stayed home and i believe she was obsessing on the thought of why i wouldnt give her a commitment or ask her to marry me.
I on the other hand was trying to get a better job so that we can live comfortably, as we both wanted kids right away. I never meant to not give her a commitment, as i loved her a lot. But, i was so preoccupied with other things, which involved only me that she thought she was not a priority to me, she cried a lot during that time.

So, we kinda lost the spark and she was not happy with our relationship, and it was puting extra stress on me as well. So, we broke up one day, and i thought i will get everything sorted out on my family side and then go back to her and ask her to marry me, which i am sure she would have loved 5 months ago.
Now, Its been 4 months we broke up and she is going abroad for 1 year. She started giving me mixed reactions, sometimes she is just rude and mean to me, as if she had no repect for me, and sometimes i just felt the love when she looked at me and she was nice, and we talked for hours.

We met a few times after the break up, and she told me that she is casually seeing / dating someone, and that it wasnt a serious one at all, she said she doesnt want to get into a serious relationship at all, and wants to be single. She wants to build her career now, and the 1 year she will spend abroad will give her a chance to get back onto her feet. And she always talked about how badly she wanted us together and how badly she wanted me to propose to her and get married to her, and also that her parents asked a couple of times if she can try getting back with me again. She has always been the girl of my dreams.

So, a couple of days later, i took the “hail Mary” approach, and bought a Ring and Proposed to her. I showed up at the place (her sister’s place as she moved there.),
under some pretence, and she came out. she was being rude, and straight forward. But, i out of my desperation i Proposed to her, She was super rude to me and she said she was waiting for me to do it 6 months ago, and that she is now going abroad and getting back onto her feet, and i was being selfish and i am not thinking about her again, and repecting her decision, and that she doesnt have that for me anymore, and i never put her as a priority, as even now i am just thinking about my self and not her and that she was never a priority to me, and just walked away angrily.

I still love this girl very much, and i think she still has some place for me in her heart. I did a lot of thinking and i wanted to ask you for your suggestion, as to how i can get her back. She means a lot to me, and i want to re-invent myslef and change to get her back, but i just cant think, as she is going abroad for an year in a couple weeks.

    Please Help and Advise.
