    Hi,

Today I met up for the first time in 8 months with my ex boyfriend. I was an exchange student at the same university as he was when we met, and we became inseparable. But I had to move back after one semester. This was in december 2013. We tried long distance, but in february he told me he wanted to break it off. Last week I moved back to attend a masters program at the same university. During our time apart (after breaking up) we texted, although not much and with a break for about two months, and more texts starting this summer. I had planned to ask him to go out for coffee so we could catch up, as to avoid having an awkward run in. But of course the run in happened before I texted him: he was waiting at the same bus stop I was walking to coming back from the gym (and planning to shower back at home, which meant I wasn’t looking my best after an hour work out!) We talked a bit and I told him I was planning on texting him to meet up. so before parting he said he would text to set up a time and place. I was the one who texted him first late the next day, and we agreed to meet today. He came and picked me up and we went for coffee, talking about what we had been up to and and other ”safe” topics. He dropped me off with a ”so see you later”. So now I am confused about what to do, because I don’t know how he feels and I really want to know, but I don’t want to come across as to pushy or needy. I really want to see him again but don’t know how to go about further contact and I don’t want to feel like I am always the one instigating contact, so what should I do?
