After 2 months of following Kevin’s advice on how win my former girlfriend back, and not posting on this forum to fully aim to move on, I can say I think it’s over. I was in a situation where my ex of over a year broke up with me after I said the most hurtful thing I could of, and got into it with her parents drunkenly. I still followed the advice of this forum, rebounded hard, and yet after here I am. I broke no contact today, and sent her a heartfelt message that I spent days on, that thanked her for everything and apologized for everything due to the chaotic nature of the break up. Despite me opening up, the response I got was minimal, a “thank you glad to know your doing better”. And that was it. Nothing more, and then a left on read. We had a very good, very obsessive, very loving relationship. While this doesn’t give every detail what are your thoughts? We’re both young and her parents probably despise me, even tho they once thought the world of me. Is it truly, like I feel a lost cause and completely over???
@tingtang Hopefully you don’t get drunk anymore. Are you still in therapy??
Her reply was nice, but guarded. She might be remembering the horrible things you said to her at the end of the relationship when you were drunk.
And maybe her parents don’t trust you to treat their daughter properly with respect.
It might not be a lost cause if you’ve permanently changed for the better.
