My ex broke up with me days before he was about to have surgery. He rightfully broke up with me because I said some horrible things about him to my friends when I was angry. I miss him and love him and I don’t know why I acted the way I did. I started NC but today is his surgery and I really just want to know if he is okay. His mom sent me a group text that he will be out of surgery in an hour. I don’t know if she is aware of the breakup or not. What I wanted to know is should I break NC for today and start tomorrow new?

Yes, of course be there by his side. He might think you cut him off. Maybe start nc in a couple of days, after he stabilize.
The surgery was about something serious? I’m asking because he might just wanted to spare you from seeing him suffering,and sick in the hospital.His mom sent a group text with me in it so I know he is okay. I guess this was before he told them. When it was hours and still no word I asked if everything was ok. His sister replied with a curt “He’s fine”. They must know now and don’t want me around. I tried to text him to see how he was doing but he didn’t respond. He said he never wanted to see me again and I guess he meant it.
The surgery was for his leg to fix a break they made from a previous surgery. I know He is probably in a lot of pain and just kills me I can’t be there for him.
