Currently I’ve started the NC after a month and a half of the break up. The problem is other than being my ex she is in our group of friends and with me in college so I see her everyday. Today i found her crying, I found out that her cousin’s, which she considers a sister, has died horrifically and suddenly. When I talked to her she broke down and started crying. I comforted her for a while then when I got her back to the group I got her some chocolates and had someone put it in her purse, then left off. When I got back, I was talking to a friend in our group when she came and pulled me out, she looked me in the eyes, in a way that I haven’t seen since our break up. She said you got me the chocolates, I acted oblivious for a second then told her yeah and asked if it was somebody that told her she replied no I just felt so. She then in the flirtiest way poke me with a paper she was holding and thanking me. I texted her that night asking if she was alright and if she studied for the quiz we have the next day we talked a bit about the guy, she used to tell me alot about him and how that me and him have the same name which she thought was funny.

Was talking to her and comforting her a mistake and a break for the NC period? Am I making myself too available by asking about her? Was her flirting a thing or am I only imagining what I want?

P.S a friend of ours saw the way she pulled me away and the way she was looking and talking and he took notice to ask what was that about.

My answers are no, no and she was probably flirting a tiny bit in response to what you did
