We were going out for 6 months long distance. I broke it off because i felt a lot of pressure to commit to something and was trying to avoid being hurt and hurting her. We made the mistake of staying in contact for the next two months as friends. then she started seeing someone else where she lives. i’ve been heart broken and have realised what she meant to me. we spent the next month going through the breakup we never went though to start with. now we are no contact. it’s been a week and a half and she’s contacted me twice. It has been so difficult not to reply.
What I’m wondering is given that we are long distance and she is seeing someone else that i’m not sure is a rebound or not, does this change the 30 day NC rule? If she’s reaching out to me when I live so far away should I take the opportunity to talk to her?

I think NC rule still applies and I know it’s hard..
I think your situation is a little bit similar to mine… My boyfriend and I was in a 8 month long distance relationship and we just broke up because he’s too stressed I guess.. if you’re interested, could you have a look at my post?

I want him back so much…Thanks sunshine, i read your story and I can see a lot similar to mine. The thing I’m wrestling with NC is that I’m not doing it to build attraction – I know she is still into me. It needs to be for me to get over her so I can get her back, but I’m feeling better now, and I’m worried that me ignoring her is confirming to her I’m over my hurt so I don’t want her again. My main issue is convincing her my feelings are real as I only reacted after she started dating someone else.
