It's been a month, calmly made contact

So It’s been a month. Time will tell if we will get back together. I’m OK with that. I have my own life, at the moment I feel good. So I thought about it and decided to call him to make arrangements to get my tablet back. No expectations. So I called and got voicemail, I started to leave a nice message telling him that I hoped he was well, and that I wanted to make arrangements to get my tablet back. Before I even finished leaving the message I got a beep. I looked at my phone and it was him. To my surprise. I picked up and said, hey I was just leaving him a voicemail about the tablet. He said he was meaning to get that back to me. He said he had it right in front of him. I told him that I still had a couple of unimportant things of his that I wanted to return. He said they were no big deal, I could keep or toss. Then he suggested Saturday to meet up and get my tablet. Not expecting to actually talk to him at that moment, I really hadn’t thought about when to get the tablet, I didn’t know if he was even going to pick up the phone, let alone call me immediately. I was unprepared for setting up a meeting. So I told him that I didn’t know what was going on by this weekend, that it was only Wednesday. I said I had work Saturday morning, then he said we could meet Saturday afternoon. He started telling me about his work schedule (which I already knew about, duh) and somehow got onto something about working on his house. So I told him that I would have to let him know about Saturday, and said Bye.

I really don’t have any expectations, but it did seem promising. He called me before I even finished leaving a message, suggested to meet up, had been thinking about my tablet, which means he has been thinking about me one way or another.
