Has He Lost Interested or Playing Safe?

Hey there,

I’m a Scorpio Woman and have been talking to a Taurus Man for two years. Our talks were mainly through DMs from Instagram. We live in different states and just recently I went to see him. The chemistry was amazing. He took the first move and kissed me goodnight after our dinner date. On our last night together we increased the chemistry by touching and kissing. Before we moved further I made it clear that I was celibate. He respected my wishes and still stayed the night simply snuggling. Now I’m back home and feel distance between us. He never texted to see if I made it home safely, I had to contact him. I’ve noticed he’s into more small talk than anything. Today he did send me a good morning DM and ask about my day but later on this evening when I sent an inside joke, he never responded. I’m 35 and he’s 37, I can’t see him playing games BUT I don’t put anything pass anybody. Because we are from the same hometown, I’ll see him in August. I just need advice. Has he lost interest or just playing it safe? I did ask him if he’d lost interest and he responded with “wait didn’t we speak when you got back”? I just want to make sure I’m not getting played. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!
